Finished Self Dialogue
This was a fun assignment which allowed everyone in the class to be creative in their self dialogue. Although this was not my favorite painting, my hard work payed off. I hope that people will get the main idea of my painting and be able to see that both girls are me. I usually don't think about my dynamic personality which allowed room for interpretation in creating the project. I think I would be happiest with this idea than my previous ideas. The first painting started was small and did not describe my personality the way this painting did. The girl on the right may not look exactly like me, but has my look. Overall I am happy with the outcome of my painting.
Self dialogue continued
I've spent a lot of time on this project, but it's not my favorite self portrait. I like the concept of the painting, but I don't like the way I painted one side of myself. Although I don't like it, I'm not going to change it. It doesn't appear to be very realistic, which bothers me. My favorite part of the painting is the left side, in which my face disappears into the background. Features are barely noticable which makes it pop. The skin tone and body positioning make it more realistic than the right side. I enjoyed this project, and hope that my final project comes out the way I want it to.
