Landscape Project!

The landscape project went well, it was mostly just like any other still life. I liked using the large dice and cones to make a city landscape. One thing that frustrated me was that I could never get the light the exact same as it was the day before. This allowed room for interpretation, which is good sometimes, but I wanted to draw it exactly how I saw it. Next time I would better follow my mentor and maybe choose a different scenery.

Mentor

Jennifer Young is my landscape mentor. I love how her paintings are light in color and have a relaxing feel. She uses a variety of bright colors and paints water landscapes. In my work, I would like to use similar shadows and use of line.
